Any questions we might have had for 'American Idol' runner up Lauren Alaina about whether or not she regretted trying out for the show, were silenced the minute the 16-year-old bounded into our office -- along with her biggest fan, her mom. She was in such a good mood she walked around the studio singing a Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' for our crew and producer before her shoot, where we grilled her about why she's so happy she did the show.

"It's completely worth it because your dreams come true faster than any other way," she said.

She also talked to us about the perks of life after 'Idol' and how her life has changed since the show.

"I get my hair and make up done now and I get styled and it's really nice because it takes me forever and it doesn't look half as good as when professionals do it."

Lauren's debut album, 'Wildflower,' is available now.
