Sure, Mark Salling plays tough guy Noah Pukerman on 'Glee,' but in real life, the actor has a soft spot for animals and recently posted a video to YouTube of himself releasing a duck back into the wild. In the video, shot on October 15th, Mark is holding a duck near what appears to be a river or a canal and asks someone off camera about the duck he's holding onto. She was an underweight and malnourished Mallard that was nursed back to health and ready to be re-released into the wild.

"She needed a little help and now we're going to release her back, now that she's back to par so here we go.. the best part of it all," he says before letting her fly away.

So many questions: is this just a typical weekend for him? Did he find the duck? And why didn't he title the video 'Puck and Duck?' In any case, we're glad the duck recovered and got to go back into the wild.

This isn't the first time we've heard about Mark's do-gooding. Love it when celebs make it a priority to help people and animals -- such a good role model!
