Katy Perry will be premiering her new video for 'The One That Got Away' with a special appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on Friday, November 11.

The video was directed by Floria Sigismondi, who was behind the camera for the biopic 'The Runaways.' She also directed Katy's video for 'E.T.,' which earned a 2011 MTV Video Music Award. Katy recently unveiled a trailer for the clip, which shows fans that a dramatic and cinematic video is in store.

After the pop star's TV appearance on 'Ellen,' the clip for 'The One That Got Away' will be available immediately on the talk show's website, and then at 4PM ET on VEVO. The song is the sixth single to be released from the singer's double-platinum-selling album, 'Teenage Dream.'

"I think that everyone can relate to this song," Katy said in a press release. "I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It's a bittersweet story -- hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had 'The One' get away."
