The 2012 Grammy nominations were announced on Wednesday, and Kanye West and Adele came out on top with seven and six nods, respectively.

Kanye's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' is up for Best Rap Album, and his Rihanna-assisted single, 'All of the Lights,' is vying for Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song.

The hip-hop star's biggest competition may be himself, as his collaboration with Jay-Z, 'Watch the Throne,' is also in contention for Best Rap Album. The duo's hit song, 'Otis,' is up for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, too.

Adele, has six noms under her belt, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for 'Rolling in the Deep,' as well as Album of the Year for '21.'

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift scored three nominations, including Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for 'Mean.' 'Speak Now' also got a nod for Best Country Album.

Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj are among the other big artists duking it out for awards at next year's ceremony, which will air on February 12 at 8PM on CBS. For a full list of nominees, visit Grammy.com.
