AnnaSophia Robb has a new gig! The 18-year-old has been cast as young Carrie Bradshaw in The CW's pilot for 'The Carrie Diaries.'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 'Sex and the City' prequel, based on Candace Bushnell's novel of the same name, follows Carrie during her teenage years as an aspiring writer and New York City high-school student in the '80s.

Naturally, she'll face challenges in love, life and friendship along the way, including a relationship with Sebastian Kydd and a rivalry with a popular girl named Donna LaDonna. AnnaSophia will join Stefania Owen, who has been cast as Carrie's 14-year-old sister.

'The Carrie Diaries' novel is told from Carrie's perspective, so we expect the forthcoming series to be narrated by the fashionista, just like the character did in 'Sex and the City.'
