The Pottermore site was announced last year, but its scheduled October launch was pushed back "to focus on our first priority: opening Pottermore to as many people as possible and making the experience as good as it can be."
According to a new note on the website, the delay was for a good reason. "We gathered some incredibly useful feedback from our Beta users, and it became clear that our original platform wouldn't be suitable when millions more users came on to the site," it reads. So, they moved the whole website to a new platform, which took time.
The site will reportedly include extra writings from Rowling, offering the details to the series' characters and locations. Fans will also be able to score e-book editions of Rowling's 'Harry Potter' novels, but release dates have not been confirmed. Are you excited for Pottermore?
