Being the son of two movie stars has its perks. Jack Quaid, who makes his film debut in 'The Hunger Games,' says his parents were completely supportive of his decision to become an actor.

In our exclusive interview with the 19-year-old son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, Jack explains that he's received nothing but encouragement since voicing his desire to follow in his parents' footsteps.

"A lot of kids, when they tell their parents, 'Hey, Mom and Dad, I want to be an actor,' you don't quite get the response my parents gave to me, which was just like, 'Okay, yeah. Go ahead and do it,'" Jack said on the black carpet of the 'Hunger Games' premiere on Monday.

He added, "They called me every day while I was on set, and they've just been great with this."

Jack is currently a sophomore at the Experimental Theatre Wing at the Tisch School of Arts at New York University, and will begin filming his next movie, 'The Worst Year of My Life So Far,' soon. 'The Hunger Games' opens in theaters nationwide on March 23.
