If you don't know who The Secret Sisters are, that's all about to change. The Alabama duo has penned an original song for 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack, and we got to catch up with them about it on the black carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the film.
After being approached by their friend and producer T Bone Burnett, the girls wrote 'Tomorrow Will Be Kinder' for the companion soundtrack. They had read the books, but "had no idea it would be such a big deal," Laura Rogers said.
The two-piece, who are real-life sisters, also dished on their inspiration for the song. "It was actually inspired by the tornadoes that came through Alabama last year, but it seems to fit the movie, as well, so I think it's pretty applicable," Lydia Rogers explained.
While the 'Hunger Games' soundtrack also features two songs by Taylor Swift, the girls aren't acquainted with the star. They insist that they "really really love what she did, especially with the Civil Wars," though.
"We don't know Taylor personally," Laura adds. "But if she wants to be friends, we will."
'The Hunger Games' soundtrack will be available on March 20, and the highly anticipated film will arrive on March 23.
