So cool. The talented Chloe Moretz has been cast in a remake of the horror classic 'Carrie,' Deadline.com reports.

Chloe will take the lead role made famous by Sissy Spacek in the 1976 original and there's no doubt she'll own it.

News of Chloe's new role made headlines yesterday afternoon, as it was reported that she was offered the part in the Stephen King tale of a high school student with deadly telekinetic powers.

Chloe's star has certainly been on the rise and has showed no signs of slowing. We love her!

She tweeted in response to the news: "Never been so happy in my life! Thank you [director] Kim Peirce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!"

This isn't Chloe's first time starring in a horror film - she starred in 2005's 'The Amityville Horror' and the 2010 vampire movie 'Let Me In.'

Of course, the iconic scene from 'Carrie' happens at the end when her classmates make her prom queen, only to dump pig's blood on her head.

Bad idea, kids.

Carrie sets the place ablaze with her telekinetic brain power and torches the place.

Revenge, baby.

Chloe burst onto the scene in 'Kick-Ass,' and has starred in '(500) Days of Summer' and 'Hugo.' She'll next be seen opposite Johnny Depp in 'Dark Shadows,' directed by Tim Burton.

Other actresses reportedly considered for the 'Carrie Role' include Haley Bennett (soon to star opposite Ryan Gosling in 'Lawless'), Dakota Fanning, Lily Collins and Shailene Woodley.

Will you see the horror movie remake?
