A hairbrush is one of those rare beauty tools that you use all the time but don't really need to replace or fix all too often. So when you buy a hairbrush, you tend to have it for a while and use it a lot. If you're thinking about getting a new one or just want to know what kind is best for you, here are some tips!
To begin, the kind of brush that you should use depends on the type of style that you want when you're blow-drying your hair. I typically blow-dry my hair with a paddle brush because it makes your hair straighten out as you're drying it. If you're going to curl your hair or just want a more voluminous shape to it, I'd recommend using a large round brush. A large round brush and a paddle brush are really the only two brushes that I go back and forth between when I'm drying or styling my hair.
The other type of brush that I use everyday is a rat-tail comb, which I use to part my hair so that I have a clean, crisp line. I also like to keep a teasing comb around just in case you need to tease your hair a little bit one day.
Those are the four brushes that I always have around; even if I travel or go on vacation I always bring all four of them with me!
