They were in the midst of a hilarious episode in which Fred finally seizes the day and gets back at Kevin, the school bully. Our cameras were able to capture some of the shoot, including when Fred pours chocolate milk on Kevin in the middle of lunch hour!
Rachel Crowe, one of our favorite contestants from last year's "X-Factor," was also on set starring as the character "Starr" who is described as the female version of Fred. She is crazy, "over the top dramatic," and bursts into song at a moments notice, which is great because we can't get enough of that amazing voice. Rachel herself told us she, "is a ginormous fan of Fred," and has watched all his movies and watched him on youtube.
Lucas spoke to us about why he thinks this Fred character has taken off, and he believes it's because everyone can relate to him at one point in their life. From feeling left out to not being understood, Fred is that character audiences can lean on and watch on a daily basis on Youtube. Lucas has encountered some great fan stories, one of which he discusses in the video. Watch and hear the outrageous fan moment he had at a signing.
"Fred: The Show" airs on Fridays at 8PM on Nickelodeon.
