Cambio visited Jason Derulo in the recording studio and caught up with him on his new album and song "Undefeated," as well as his partnership with American Idol and Coca Cola for the "Perfect Harmony" contest. Jason talked about how the song relates to his recovery from his accident during tour rehearsals that caused him to cancel his entire world tour. He also discussed his experience of having to wear a neck brace, which he put his own touch on by blinging it out! It is the perfect metaphor brought to life regarding when life gives you lemons.

The "Perfect Harmony" contest was brought to Jason by American Idol and Coca-Cola. It's a great way for fans to collaborate with an artist by contributing to the song writing process. Fans can go listen to Jason's lyrics and vote on which ones he should use for the final single. Also a perk if you participate, you could win tickets to the season finale of American Idol!

"Taking something negative and making it into a positive...that's what this song is all about." Jason enjoyed getting to collaborate with fans on the song and realized that most people can relate to his situation in one way or another. "I don't want this accident to just be an accident, I want it to speak to some people who are in the same situations".

We were excited to hear that Jason is in the studio working on a new album. We wish him a quick and healthy recovery, and cannot wait to hear these new songs.
