Need hair help? Ever think of using hot rollers? The curling iron seems to have dominated all other curling tools for a while now. However, I've noticed that good old-fashioned hot rollers have actually been coming back more and more lately. Perhaps people are done thinking of them as old lady-ish?
Man, I hope they make a comeback!
Hot rollers are great for hair with body and volume. The gorgeous hairstyle of Blake Lively from my Get The Glitz post last month is a great example. Really big rollers are perfect for getting a beautiful, voluminous effect without being overly curly or styled-looking. You just need about four or five of them around your head while you're doing your makeup, and when you're done and the rollers have cooled, gently take them out for pretty hair that's got nice body to it.
I used to be a BIG fan of hot rollers when I was in high school. I used them every single morning; I don't think there was a single day of high school when I didn't curl my hair! But they were also so big and bulky, so I didn't take them to college with me, and haven't really used them as much ever since, just because I got out of the habit of using them all the time. Lately I've been really wanting to find a good set! Do you have any recommendations?
Do any of you use hot rollers to curl your hair?
