Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys Dead at 47

Adam Yauch of the VERY influential musical group the Beastie Boys, died earlier today. He was 47-years-old.

Adam was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, the last year the band performed live. He was one of the co-founders of the group. This past April, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but sadly, he was unable to attend the ceremony.
