'Snow White and The Huntsman' Google+ Chat: K-Stew Says Movie Gives Girls Simple Message
Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman (SWATH) co-star Sam Claflin recently answered fan questions via Google+ Hangout Chat (Peep the entire thing above).
The stars talked about the new flick and their fairy-tale characters. They also opened up about the butt-kicking things they had to endure during the filming process and the strength and beauty messages the movie brings to girls.
Sam Claflin plays Snow's love interest, Prince William. He says jokingly that he talked with the real Prince William about the role.
"I gave him a call and went for a beer and he was talking to me about the royal way..."
He also joked that his leading lady (K-Stew) is better looking than Kate Middleton.
Both stars admitted shooting the film was grueling. Sam is not a great rider and would jokingly "cry inside" when he thought about riding a horse.
Kristen said, "I was excited to challenge myself physically. I knew I would hurt myself every day. I pulled every muscle below my waist. I destroyed my thumb."
Kristen admitted that she did not grow up with the story of Snow White, but did feel the pressure of having to do such a legendary character justice.
When asked what message this movie sends to young girls about being obsessed with beauty Kristen stated, "Don't be a vain idiot."
Be sure to check out Snow White and the Huntsman when it hits theaters on June 1!
