Parachute: "Fans Can Expect a Lot of Sax" This Summer!
The band has had an amazing recent run, with TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America and The Tonight Show, as well as tours with Kelly Clarkson, Michelle Branch and The Goo Goo Dolls, just to name a few!
Now, the alternative pop rock band originally from Virgina will head out on a co-headlining tour with The Cab this summer!
We caught up with the band before their concert at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles.
It turns out Justin Bieber isn't the only one with diehard fans. "It's fun to have our fans come out and people that know every word and are there to see you," said guitarist Nate McFarland.
They're especially looking forward to tour stops in Philadelphia and Nashville, because they love the East Coast and have a lot of friends in Music City!
One of Parachute's favorite parts of touring is not only seeing the country, but really getting to know it well.
"We can go to a lot of cities and know what we're doing there, which is a pretty fun thing to be able to say," said lead singer Will Anderson.
Parachute performed a variety of songs off both their first and second albums to a packed crowd at Universal CityWalk, plus a new one that Will explained they don't perform often, "Forever and Always."
"I really honestly don't know where that came from," says Will of "Forever and Always," which he recalled writing in the band's van while they were on tour in Germany. "But I know Nate cried the first time he heard it. I knew I had something good when I saw that reaction. It kind of came in a flash and I had the whole story worked out in my head."
Maybe it will mak the new album the band hopes to release by the end of the year after debuting more new songs on the road this summer.
Parachute's co-headlining tour with The Cab and opening act Katelyn Tarver kicks off in St. Louis on July 16th!
