Grey's Anatomy star Sarah Drew was drawn to support the Thirst Project because of a shocking statistic. "I was amazed to learn that more deaths from water contamination than violence and war," she told us.
And Make It or Break It star Cassie Scerbo really feels a bond to the organization because it was founded by college students. "College students started this non profit which really excited me because I'm a college student and an environmental major," she said.
The event, which raised a whopping $200,000, really put into perspective for the stars in attendance how easy it is to take the little things in life for granted. We asked them to reveal to us the one thing they use on a daily basis that they couldn't live without. The answers ranged from touching to surprising!
Glee's John Sussman admitted he could never live without his girlfriend and The Lying Game's Allie Gonino didn't hesitate to reveal that she couldn't imagine life without sugar. Debby Ryan seconded that notion, "I have dessert everyday. I wake up and have frozen yogurt in my hands," she said. "I'm like what, what? I blacked out."
But we can probably all relate to the one thing Parenthood's Jason Ritter couldn't give up. "Technology . . . I'm so bad at writing letters that if I was born in another century I would never communicate with anybody!"
