Honestly, how great would Nick be on Idol?
Of course, there's been no confirmation that Nick is even in the running, but there's plenty of buzz, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that this rumor turns out to be true.
Us Weekly reports that insiders are buzzing that Nick and N.E.R.D. rapper Pharrell Williams are the "frontrunners" to join the Idol judges' table.
Nick's ex-girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, has also been rumored to be a contender for the American Idol judging gig, which could make for some interesting television--though we're sure if we do see Nick and Miley reunite on Idol, they would be super-professional about it.
One insider tells Us Weekly, "Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge. They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings."
As for Pharrell, an insider spills, "Everything is looking good, but they're still working out details."
Fox, naturally, has had no comment on filling the judges vacancies.
This has to happen though... the trifecta of Jonas with Joe, Nick and Kevin all on landing on TV this year and early next year? Too sweet.
