With the massive number of Gotye Somebody That I Used to Know covers on YouTube, it's a huge undertaking for the man behind the song to mash many of them together in one video.

But he did it.

Watch Gotye's Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra video and check out the variety of covers of the hit song.

A guitar instructional video weaves throughout as we see some of the best Somebody That I Used to Know covers and parodies.

Gotye tweeted"I had fun making a mashup- Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra... Thanks Barry"

In the description, Gotye explains: "Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of Somebody That I Used To Know seemingly taking over their own area of the internet, I couldn't resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered."

One glaring omission? Tay Zonday (of Chocolate Rain fame), who Gotye later tweeted: "How did I forget to include Tay Zonday in Somebodies? Like slapping the internet in the face"

Gotye also responded on Twitter to some of the people whose covers were lucky enough to be featured in his mashup. He had nothing but high praise for everyone!

You can check out a full list of the videos used in the Somebodies YouTube Orchestra video at Gotye's blog.
