We know that Mariah Carey is coming to American Idol to fill one of the two empty spots at the judge's table left behind by Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

Well, according to Us Weekly, Nicki Minaj is all but officially confirmed that she'll be joining the show!

According to a source, "Yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."

So what does this mean for Nick Jonas who was also in the running for the gig?

Well, there may be a THIRD seat open at the table. Sources are reporting that Randy Jackson will go from judge to a mentor on the show--and Nick is still in the running to take that open seat!
