Nick Jonas: 'X Factor' Mentor for Demi Lovato Judge's House

Here's some interesting Nick Jonas news--Nick is rumored to be joining The X Factor as a mentor for judge (and friend) Demi Lovato.

Huh? We thought Nick was in the running for American Idol?!

Well, he's not exactly out of the running yet, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Nick will help out pal Demi on X Factor, as she's rumored to have been assigned the 12-16 year olds.

Nick will join Demi at the judges' house stage of the show, where they'll pick those from her age category who will go through to the live shows.

As mentor, Nick probably won't be seen much on The X Factor, but how crazy cool would it be to see him on that and American Idol?

X Factor season 2 premieres on September 12.
