In a black sequin dress, red lips and a big smile on her face, Demi Lovato performed for the fans outside at the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show!She sashayed into the crowd as she sang her number one song "Give Your Heart a Break."
And when Demi was finished, she got a huge surprise.
She won the first award of the night! "Best Video with a Message" for her personal song "Skyscraper."
"I grew up watching the VMAs and now I'm holding one," she exclaimed.
What an amazing kick off to the night and a big week for Demi with X Factor premiering on September 12th!
