It seems like drama just follows Chris Brown around, doesn't it?

This time, Chris wasn't involved in any fights or tantrums, he just failed a drug test and left the country without permission.

In newly released court documents (per our friends at TMZ), Chris' probation was almost revoked after he tested positive for marijuana in June in Virginia and traveled to Paris without telling authorities in July...both violations of the probation he's currently on due to the whole Rihanna incident a few years ago.

Chris caught a lucky break: Judge Patricia Schnegg said that she never made him undergo mandatory drug testing, so she let him off the hook.

The released documents state that Chris has a medical marijuana card for use in the state of California (where medical marijuana use is legal) and he claims he smoked the weed there. And as for the traveling, the documents say that he says he told the probation office he was going out of the country.
