Could you come up with a big idea for a new business?
And then whittle it down to a 60-second "elevator pitch," in case you happened to run into a venture capitalist (if you saw The Social Network, these are the people who invested in Facebook) or CEO in and elevator and you only had that much time to "sell" it?
That's exactly what these 34 finalists in the 2012 NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge have done.
Check out their diverse pitches for their even more diverse small businesses--from customizing skateboards to making healthy chips and salsa (like Chase and Sarron in the photo above) to repairing broken iPhones.
Don't forget to vote here for your favorite pitch.
One of these young entrepreneurs is going to win $2500 on October 11 to put toward advancing their education or getting their business off the ground.
And if you have a big idea of your own, check out makeyourjob.org to turn that dream into a reality.
