The 2012 AMAs red carpet was full of plenty of hits--and a few misses, too! Check out our picks for best dressed and worse dressed at the American Music Awards this year.
Fashion choices weren't quite as outrageous as we're used to seeing at some music awards, but there were a few standouts that made us smile (and a few frown-worthy entries as well).
2012 American Music Awards Best Dressed:
Taylor Swift's golden mini-dress was beyond gorgeous, proving that you can shine on a red carpet without showing off too much skin. (Never fear, the low back did show a little more of Taylor.)
Carrie Underwood was one our very favorites on the AMAs red carpet, wearing a lacy purple floor-length gown that was the perfect fit and color for her.
Carly Rae Jepsen's floor-length dress of pale pink sparkles was one of the hits of the night--and we must say, one of the most favorite things we've ever seen Carly wear!
We adored Lucy Hale's little black dress, which went to show that "less is more" can really be a hit. She paired the simple dress with some gorgeous jewelry and fab hair. A homerun, for sure!
2012 American Music Awards Worst Dressed:
Nicki Minaj's dress cut wasn't all bad, but that color? Now where did we put our sunglasses? And don't get us started on Nicki's Stay Puft Marshmallow vibe during her performance!
We wanted to love Christina Aguilera's form fitting, yet flowy shades of purple gown, but there was just something "off." Maybe it was the hair and makeup too?
We love Pink, but her color choice at the 2012 AMAs was a little drab, don't you think? She more than made up for it by showing off every inch of her gorgeous abs during her performance though.
Amy Heidemann of Karmin looked a bit like she just came from the mothership, wearing an oddly patterned and even more oddly cut gown that we couldn't make sense of at all.
