The On the Road actress steps out in Hollywood for Awards Season kick off Kristen Stewart stepped out in Hollywood over the weekend for the 4th Annual Governors Awards presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Stunning in a floor length Talbot Runhoff gown, Kristen mingled with A-Listers such as Tom Hanks, Amy Adams, Quentin Tarantino, Bradley Cooper, Helen Hunt, Kathryn Bigelow, and Ewan McGregor.

The 22-year-old Twilight actress also stopped by the Variety Awards Studio last week, although she was not a presenter at either event. So why has the notoriously private and low-key actress been out and about?

With Awards Season around the corner Kristen has generated some buzz for her performance in On the Road. The studio even released a "For Your Consideration" advertisement for the Supporting Actress category.

If she wants to be a contender, showing up to events like the Governors Awards and Variety Studio are important.

Have you seen On the Road yet? What did you think of Kristen's performance?
