Adele Gets First Oscar Nomination, Attending Globes This Weekend!

Singer scores Oscar nod for 'Skyfall' and will reportedly attend the Golden Globes this weekend! Adele can add Oscar nominee to her impressive resume!

The British singer, who had the highest selling album two years in a row, scored an Academy Award nomination for her James Bond theme song Skyfall this morning.

She took to Twitter to share her reaction to the happy news, saying: "Oh my god, I feel like Meryl Streep!! Thank you x."

No word yet on whether Adele will perform her song during the Bond tribute at the Oscars as rumored, but we can expect to see her this weekend!

The new mom will debut her post baby body when she attends the Golden Globes this Sunday night with her boyfriend Simon Konecki, according to Us Weekly. "Skyfall" is also nominated for a Globe.

Adele hasn't hit made a public appearance since February 2012, when she attended the Brit Awards.

We're looking forward to seeing her again! The Globes air Sunday on NBC at 8 p.m. and are being hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
