Taylor Swift must have "sexy" on her mind these days! The girl has been killing it lately on the red carpet!

She showed up at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards in an eggplant, mermaid backless Donna Karan Atelier gown. Her hair was slicked back and she had fierce earrings on too!

Her red carpet look tonight totally veered away from her normal, girlie, sparkle-covered fashion picks. It seems like she's trying to be more mature and we dig it! She almost looked like Charlize Theron from some angles.

Taylor showed up to the awards show solo.

Her 'Hunger Games' song "Safe & Sound" was nominated for an award, but Adele took home the title instead.

A lot of people on Twitter screen-grabbed Taylor's reaction when Adele won tonight, and we must admit it's pretty funny. She didn't seem too impressed!

Hey, Tay can't always win them all! We think Adele and Taylor BOTH deserved the award! How about you?
