Did Harry Styles and Taylor Swift make up after their breakup because Simon Cowell told Harry to patch things up?
The Daily Mirror reports that the "former lovebirds [are] back in touch after the One Direction star got some friendly words of advice from the X Factor supremo."
Harry reportedly "found it difficult to speak to his ex" at first, avoiding Taylor's phone calls.
A source tells the paper, however, that Simon played a hand in smoothing things over, noting,"Simon gave Harry a friendly warning that any animosity between him and Taylor could jeopardize One Direction's popularity in the U.S."
The source added, "They're two of the world's biggest music stars, and Simon knew that, although things didn't work out between them, they were bound to meet at various events and awards ceremonies."
If it all sounds like a stretch...that's because it is.
GossipCop spoke with Simon's rep, who said "there's absolutely no truth" to reports that he had anything to do with Harry and Taylor making up, adding, "This story was completely made up. One Direction make their own decisions on their personal relationships and this matter hasn't even been discussed."
Seriously...why would Simon be involved in their personal lives?
