New artists emerge from the musical world every day.

But only five are selected as Best New Artist Grammy nominees.

Will Alabama Shakes make their home state proud? (The band is also up for Best Rock Performance and Best Recording Package.) Or will Carrie Underwood's latest opening act, country cutie Hunter Hayes, take home the Grammy?

The "Ho Hey" Lumineers could get lucky (we still can't get that song out of our heads). Or Frank Ocean's tide might be strong enough for him to take the prize.

And what about the nominees with the most nominations (five other acts also tied with six Grammy nominations), Fun? There may be a reason why they are up for a six-pack of Grammys.
