Nicki Minaj lets the funny fly as the female contestants perform...find out her favorites! Can you believe we're already down to the semifinals in this season of American Idol? Last night, the 10 ladies sang for their spots and while America will ultimately vote to decide who stays going forward, the judges also had their own opinions, of course.
After Kree Harrison's version of Faith Hill's 'Stronger', Nicki heaped praise on her. "You already knew that you're my wife. Your sexiness level went up another notch tonight. What did you do?" Nicki quipped, much to Kree's delight.
When Janelle Arthur's covered Elvis' 'If I Can Dream', Ms. Minaj declared her good to enough eat. "That's my girl! You're back! You are back! You are a little marshmallow I want to eat," she exclaimed.
Zoanette Johnson, who brought Nicki to tears during a previous performance, didn't fare so well this time. She chose to cover 'What's Love Got to Do With It?' and failed to hit some high notes. "You know I love you and I always tell you the truth. That wasn't it," Nicki remarked. "With this particular song, you got to be on key and stuff."
At least Mariah Carey didn't totally hate it, telling Zoanette, "I wish people could see...that you're a bundle of festivities." (Umm, whatever that means?)
Tonight, the guys will sing for their spots and then we'll find out who America thinks should advance to the next round Thursday. Who's got your vote?
