Nope, that's not a typo.

Don Jon is about a modern-day Don Juan named Don "Don Jon" Martello, a porn addict who objectifies everything (especially women). He finds himself unfulfilled (surprise) and embarks on a journey to find a more satisfying sex life. His quest leads to a big picture discovery when he meets two very different women.

Not only does Joseph Gordon-Levitt star in Don Jon, but it is his feature film directorial debut as well. The movie also stars Tony Danza, Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore.

We talked to JGL and Tony on the red carpet at the film's SXSW premiere.

JGL's inside insight? "People objectify each other. Rather than treating each other like people, they treat each other like objects," he says. "And it's a story about how media can sort of make that happen." Adds Tony, "It's a very interesting look at a moment in our culture."

We couldn't help thinking about the long history between Tony and Joseph. "I do have a sort of paternal feeling for him," says Tony. "Because 20 years ago when he was 12 we did a movie together called Angels in the Outfield."

What does Tony think of his former costar? "He knows pretty much every bit of how to make a movie," Tony tells us. "He has a very sure-handed approach on the set. I love the kid. And I already have the job, so it's not like I have to kiss up anymore!"
