She stops traffic with her outfits, but last night it stopped her!

Ohhhh, the possibilities.

Season 12 of American Idol officially kicked off its first live show last night, and we were pretty psyched.

We bet the top 10 finalists figured the judges were excited too, but one was MIA at the start of the show.

As the other judges walked onto the stage, everyone was thinking the same thing, "Where is Nicki Minaj?"

Ryan Seacrest told the audience that she was stuck in traffic on the 405. (Nicki did tweet, "Stuck in traffic *sighs*" as the show was about to start.)

We aren't sure exactly when she arrived, but we're guessing it was between the judges' intro and the first performance because Curtis Finch Jr told us, "When I got done singing and left the stage she was standing right there and said good job."

Nicki made her way to the judge's table in a black hoodie (with the hood on) and took her seat as the second contestant was preparing to hit the stage.

What did the finalists make of Nicki's late arrival, "I had faith she'd make it there. LA traffic is bad," said Kree Harrison.

"I always look forward to what she's going to say so I felt like there was a missing piece of the puzzle," explained Curtis, until he heard a "good job" from Nicki.

Paul Jolley confessed he was a little nervous at first, "But I noticed she wasn't there so I thought we were going to have a guest judge tonight," he said. "And then when she wasn't there for the first performance, I was like, 'Ohhhh...'"

We wonder what Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban thought? They all left early enough to make it on set in time!

Stay tuned for more coverage on this season of American Idol!
