And the eliminations continue...
We all know that one finalist will get sent home each week on American Idol, and that's only going to get more difficult as the weeks go on.
It was sweet tonight when host Ryan Seacrest gave Paul Jolley a national "Paul Jolley Day" plaque, but sour when Ryan gave Paul the news that he was in this week's bottom 3.
Joining Paul in the bottom 3 were Devin Velez and Amber Holcomb. The latter announcement caused judge Randy Jackson to protest, "I'm really shocked that Amber is in the bottom 3. That's wild." Nicki Minaj agreed, "I definitely think that Amber should not be in the bottom 3, that's common sense."
Instead of stretching out the naming of the bottom 2, Idol jumped right to the elimination announcement. We're sad to see Paul Jolley go.
Paul covered his mouth on stage as he watched his exit video play, trying to hold back his tears. We're hoping he can walk away from this experience with nothing but positive vibes. We're sure this is not the last we'll see of him.
Check back soon for our interview with Paul!
