The Croods star discusses the biggest chance he's taken in his career...find out what it is Ryan Reynolds stars with Emma Stone in the new animated hit The Croods (the weekend's No. 1 flick at the box office). Ryan plays an adventurous explorer who meets a prehistoric cave family.
His character (Guy, the new cave dude guy) takes many risks in the movie, like trying to save Emma's (she plays Eep, a typical, slightly rebellious teen) from the end of the world!
Offscreen, Ryan says the biggest chance he ever took was moving to Hollywood and becoming an actor.
"Moving to LA was risky," Ryan tells Cambio. "Coming out of it now at my age and not having worked in sex labor or being co-opted into a hideous Hollywood trapping of some kind...there's still time!" he jokes.
Emma took a pretty big chance herself "as a crazy 14-year-old" when she made a presentation to convince her parents that she needed to be in Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Though Emma insists it's her parents who took the bigger risk.
