We could listen to their accents all day. We love our boy bands as much as the next teenage girl, but we're happy that there are finally some girls in the mix!
Little Mix is a girl group from the UK who won the X Factor back in 2011. The group consists of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards. Like One Direction, the four girls all auditioned as individuals and got put into a group.
The girls have been in the states for three weeks for their first U.S. promo trip, and we were stoked to have a chance to chat with them!
"I never dreamed of going to the X Factor," said Leigh-Anne. "It's a one in a million chance and you never think it's going to be you."
And that one in a million chance happened to all four group members. "Doing a show like X Factor is such an amazing platform," Jade said. "If you are lucky, it gives you that shot." Jesy added, "We're four normal girls that have gone from having normal jobs to having the best lives ever. We're so lucky."
With a quartet come four different musical influences. Leigh-Anne loves old school R&B, Jade grew up listening to Motown, Jesy is a fan of R&B and hip-hop, and Perrie enjoys old-school rock.
But like Leigh-Anne said, "Put it in a blender, mix it all up and bam! You get Little Mix!"
Watch them sing an a capella version of their song "Wings" above!
