Are One Direction planning to take a break?

Not forever...just four months following their Take Me Home world tour, according to reports.

Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam have asked management for the break to take a little rest--which they undeniably deserve.

With all the press, concert dates, and a 3D movie coming out, the guys could certainly use some downtime.

The Take Me Home tour alone has 118 dates, so that in itself is pretty grueling.

The tour wraps near year end, so the guys are looking to get a little R&R, but their management reportedly want them right back in the recording studio to work on the next album.

A source told The Daily Star, "The boys are working incredibly hard and are in desperate need of some time off. They want to take a full four months off at the end of the year, but management are keen for them to release another album while they are such hot property."

The source added that One Direction wants to do some of their own song writing too, noting, "The boys want to take time out and write most of the third album themselves. But management know the group can't take too much time off to make the next record like Adele does because teenage fans are so fickle."

Do you think the guys should take a break?
