Boy band member will take time off from the group to undergo throat surgery on his birthday It's not going to the happiest birthday for The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.
The boy bander is set to undergo throat surgery tomorrow and take a hiatus from the group.
"Our lil Nath has to go in for an op on his throat on his birthday to make him better so join us in wishing him well," the band wrote on their Facebook page. "We love ya! #GetWellNath. We will be passing on all your words of support and love, it means the world to him and you definitely help us all through this."
"Gutted," Nathan Tweeted yesterday. "Can't sleep. So much on my mind."
His camp said Nathan will be MIA for awhile in a statement. "We can confirm that The Wanted's Nathan Sykes will under go specialist throat surgery on Thursday 18th April in Los Angeles and as such will be taking unforeseen hiatus from The Wanted," they said. "The remaining four members of The Wanted will continue fulfilling the bands promotional commitments across the world."
Their world tour kicks off later this year. We wish Nathan a happy birthday and a speedy recovery!
