What does the Demi Lovato "Heart Attack" music video mean? Demi explains all.
Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack" music video is pretty cool, we can all agree, but what's the meaning behind the black oil/ink?In a recent interview, Demi explained, "When I'm in all white and I don't have much makeup on...I'm singing to the camera, I'm pouring my heart and soul into it, yet my hands are black...I feel like the black ink, to me, represents all of the things that I can't let go of."
She continued, "So the reason why I'm afraid to fall in love is because I'm afraid of getting hurt again. It's like the opposite to give your heart a break."
Demi added, "In this, it was like me having a hard time letting go of things, and then you see hand prints all over me and it's just kind of like things are pulling me back when I just want to fall in love."
There is meaning to the "Heart Attack" video, as Demi noted, "At one point I'm coming out of the ink and I'm just, like, surfacing and I'm coming out of it...I'm trying to represent the conflict between allowing yourself fall in love and just letting it happen."
The interviewer also asks where Demi sees herself in 10 years. She said, "I want to have had like two kids and a hubby."
