'Teen Mom 2' Season 4 Episode 10 Recap: Trying Times
Jenelle Evans must find a new place to live and Kailyn Lowry begins anger management counseling.
There are no two ways about it...this week's episode of Teen Mom 2 was one of the most depressing we've seen so far.
Jenelle, who is dead broke, has to go to court to find out if she'll be charged after her domestic violence incident with ex-fiancé, Gary Head.
Lucky for Jenelle, the charges were dropped and Gary took a plea.
But that is just the beginning of Jenelle's drama. After not paying rent for a month (admitting she spent all of her money on drugs), she is served with an eviction notice and she and boyfriend, Kieffer Delp, are forced to find a new place to live...which might not be so hard if Kieffer wasn't a convicted felon.
When Jenelle's mom, Barbara Evans, comes over to see how the couple is doing, a huge fight erupts with Jenelle and Kieffer both criticizing Barbara's job and Jenelle threatening to run off with her son Jace.
After the fight, Jenelle is so depressed, Kieffer takes their last $70 and goes to get her drugs to help her feel better.
This episode was also a tough one for Kailyn. As she is preparing to go to anger management counseling with her son's father, Jo Rivera, her fiancé Javi Marroquin tells her that he doesn't believe in therapy and the two end up in an argument.
Despite Javi's reservations, Kailyn goes to the therapy session and she is able to air some of her grievances.
After the session, Kail tells Jo that she is thinking of marrying Javi and that because he's in the Air Force, they might have to move.
Jo just laughs at her and tells her the whole thing is "dumb," especially because they have been together for less than a year.
Leah Messer (Calvert)
Leah is continuing to struggle with her daughter Ali's development.
Still searching for a diagnosis, Leah takes a four hour trip to Ohio to meet with a specialist. Corey Simms comes to the appointment, too, and it's at least nice to see them joining forces for the sake of their daughter.
The specialist tells Leah that Ali has very weak muscle structure and they will need to do further tests, which may or may not give them a definitive diagnosis.
After returning home, Leah has to set up the appointments and another trip to Ohio, where they will spend a few days while Ali is being tested.
The stress and sheer sadness of the situation gets the best of Leah and she breaks down crying when she is on the phone telling her mom about it.
Leah also reveals that while they might be getting closer to a diagnosis, she isn't sure if she even wants one because the thought of it is so scary for her.
Things are going a little better for Chelsea on this episode.
She celebrates her daughter Aubree's third birthday and everyone has a great time. The party goes much better than the one they had last year where Aubree's father Adam Lind showed up two hours late and he and Chelsea argued most of the time.
Adam has his own party for Aubree this year and she has a great time at that, too.
Chelsea is able to keep a good perspective about it, saying that she doesn't care who was at the party or what happened and she doesn't want to hear any of the drama, she just cares that Aubree had a good time, which she did.
Chelsea's segments were definitely the high point of this week's episode, but there were unfortunately a lot of lows with the other girls.
