While most were watching the ladies on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, Glee's Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss made their mark on the red carpet. The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala is the place to be seen for fashion. It is one of the only places where Vera Wang and Kerry Washington can get together to talk about the color streaks in each other's hair or where Jennifer Lawrence can be spotted chatting it up with Jimmy Fallon while gesturing toward Jennifer Lopez.

The theme of this year's gala was "Punk: From Chaos to Couture" and while most of us were watching the usual fashion forward suspects, liked Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow or Miley Cyrus, Glee's Darren Criss and Matthew Morrison were not outdone. They made their mark looking dashing on the red carpet. Darren wore a tartan Richard Chai tux and joked to The New York Times, "What did I do to get ready for punk? Or prom? Because it feels like prom in here."

Matthew also chatted about the theme of the night. He teased that he didn't think there would be a punk-themed Glee episode any time soon, but Glee creator Ryan Murphy begged to differ. While at the gala, when he was not snapping pictures with his pal Gwyneth Paltrow, Ryan said, "Absolutely, one-hundred percent, you can bet your bottom dollar." Can you imagine the New Directions singing "I Wanna Be Sedated"?
