The award honors the highest-grossing concert touring act of the year, and Madonna's grossed $305 million from 88 sold-out shows. Move over, One Direction and Justin Bieber.

Madonna's here to teach you a thing or two--about touring.

That's right. Music icon Madonna, who released her first album five years before Rihanna was born, will be honored at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards with the Top Touring Artist award for her 2012 global MDNA tour.

The award honors the highest-grossing concert touring act of the year, and Madonna's grossed $305 million from 88 sold-out shows.

Madonnna should feel very comfortable accepting her award at the live show in Las Vegas. She's had 38 top 10 singles on the Billboard Top 100 chart and 43 Dance Club Songs that went to No. 1 (both records), plus 56 Hot 100 hits. This year she's also nominated for Top Dance Artist and Top Dance Album.

Who else will take home awards at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, airing live from Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC? Check out Cambio's ongoing coverage.
