Who got to play on stage with a family member? And who expected just friends and family to show up? Kree Harrison, Angie Miller and Candice Glover talk about their emotional hometown visits. American Idols top 3, Candice Glover, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison.
American Idol's top 3 have been on a pretty intense roller coaster.

And it only got more emotional when the girls made their way back home for their hometown visits.

In Beverly, Mass. Angie Miller didn't know what to expect. "It's so overwhelming. Like, 'I can't believe this is actually happening.' It's unexpected, shocking and amazing."

But she did have one favorite part about her trip. "The concert and playing on stage with my brother and his band again," Angie told us. "I think the top 3 all realized the amount of support we're getting. We've been in this bubble, so it's cool to actually see it."

Candice Glover put on a show for her whole town in St. Helena Island, S.C. "I definitely know that I brought a lot of people together now that I went home," she said. "I just saw everybody together and I was glad that I could be the reason why that was. I think I left a mark there."

The love she received was more than she could imagine. "They were all there to support me," Candice said, "The same girl that was doing nothing about a year ago."

Kree Harrison also had a pleasant surprise in Woodville, Texas. "I thought my family and friends were going to show up and give me a party." But, "There were thousands of people just chanting!" Kree told us. "It was humbling more than anything to think now you have to go back and make these fans proud of you."

Acknowledging what an amazing experience it's been, Kree told us, "This is not something that's yours. It's not a selfish thing. It's something that you have to give back."
