Jaden Smith to Stay at Parents' House for "20 or 30 More Years"
Despite reports that Jaden Smith wants to be emancipated from his parents so he can get his own house, the After Earth star sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and his famous father to set the record straight.
"I'm not going anywhere," Jaden laughed during a taping of The Ellen Show. "The thing that people don't get is everything at his house is free. So I can get anything and everything I want at his house so I think I'm gonna be there for 20 or 30 more years. But he says as soon as I have a movie that's bigger than one of his movies, I can have my own house."
So how did those quotes get attributed to Will originally? It seems his humor may have been lost in translation during an international interview.
"I think I made a joke in Tokyo," Will explained. "No emancipation for the Smith kids!"
Will and Jaden costar in After Earth, which hits theaters on May 31, but Jaden will be live for a Cambio Couch Sesh on Monday, May 21! Tune in and submit your questions for him on Twitter using #JadenCambioAE.
