Shakira replaced Christina Aguilera as a Voice judge on season four, but she has just announced that she will not be returning for season five. Well, it's official...Shakira has now confirmed that she's leaving The Voice.

When veteran judge Christina Aguilera signed on to return for season five, we were hoping there was still a chance that Shakira could somehow stay on the panel.

After all, neither Usher nor Cee Lo Green has been confirmed for the upcoming season.

Now, our worst fears have been realized as Shakira has officially confirmed that she won't be returning for another season.

"It was a hard decision for me to make, because I'm really fond of the coaches, the people in production and everybody around me," she told E! News. "And I really enjoyed The Voice, but I also have a musical career and I'm also a mother now and my poor baby's so tired flying such long distances. He already has more miles than any pilot. So I think I have to give him a little break, and we'll see what happens in the future."

We're certainly going to miss Shakira, but the new mom definitely deserves a break and some down time with her beautiful baby boy.

Are you sad that Shakira isn't returning for a second season?
