'Teen Mom 2' star Corey Simms married Miranda Patterson over the weekend. Get all the details from their sweet ceremony and find out why Corey is being criticized. Teen Mom 2 star Corey Simms got married this weekend.
Photos from the ceremony reveal that the bride wore white and the groom wore...jeans?!
That's right, Corey wore a flannel shirt and jeans for his wedding while his beautiful bride and his two daughters, Ali and Aleah Simms (who were flower girls), wore beautiful white dresses.
Many people criticized Corey for wearing jeans to his wedding, but his father revealed that casual is exactly the way the couple wanted it.
"Lot of comments about Corey 'showing up' to his wedding in jeans," Jeff Simms tweeted. "He and Miranda planned every aspect of the ceremony, this was their day."
Hey, to each their own!
From the pictures, it appears that the couple's colors were white and yellow. Corey's bride, Miranda, has already taken her groom's last name (at least she has on Twitter, and what's more official than that?!)
After the wedding, the couple drove off in Corey's truck, which was painted with "Mr." and "Mrs. Simms" on their respective sides of the car. There was also a heart on the front and "Just Married" written on the side windows.
Corey's ex-wife, Leah Messer, did not attend the wedding, but The Stir reports that she gave it her blessing and even reportedly sent Miranda a Mother's Day gift because she will be the girls' step-mom.
It's absolutely amazing how this blended family seems to get along so incredibly well.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
