Paul McCartney, Nas and R. Kelly are just a few of the big headliners that will take the stage at this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Check out the other things you've got to know about the fest! Dubbed one of the "50 Moments That Changed Rock and Roll" by Rolling Stone, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival kicks off this Thursday in Manchester, Tenn. on a 700-acre farm.

While festival goers can expect hot and humid temps (It's expected to be in the mid-high 80s everyday) and bugs, it's still makes for a blast of a weekend, with 80,000 folks expected to hit its grounds.

Check out the five things to know about Bonnaroo!

The Gist: Bonnaroo is a four-day arts and music festival held at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tenn. More than 150 musicians, comedians and bands are set to take the ten (!) stages at this year's fest, which is stocked with food vendors, a bevy of entertainment options, and campgrounds for those who want to stick around for the night (or all four days) instead of heading home.

The Lineup: Bonnaroo's music lineup has a mix of everything from folk to rock to rap. Headliners include Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, Bjork, Nas, R. Kelly, Wu Tang Clan, Solange, The Lumineers, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, A$Ap Rocky, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, among others.

The Arts: Bonnaroo Cinema is not only a place to beat the heat (it's air conditioned), but it also gives festivalgoers the chance to check out some awesome new films, documentaries, classic flicks and more. Among the films that will be screened during the festival are the comedy Crystal Fairy, starring Michael Cera and Gaby Hoffman, and The Way, Way Back starring Steve Carrell and Toni Collette.

The Lowdown: We weren't kidding when we mentioned the heat (the festival's website also says to be prepared for it). So, if you managed to snag a ticket to the sold-out fest, make sure to wear light clothing, comfy sandals, and bring water (or drink a ton when you get there). And if you didn't lock down a ticket, you can still see the best happenings of Bonnaroo on our livestream Friday-Sunday!

Extracurricular Activities: The festival also features an interactive arts experience called The Academy, where guests can take workshops like belly dancing, break dancing, gardening and more. There's also a Broo'ers festival, which features over 20 different breweries, a Bonnaroo Comedy theater and a silent disco (where DJ Jazzy Jeff will be spinning) among many other activities.
