Former Secret Life of the American Teenager star vamped it up with Hollywood's hottest leading men on her True Blood guest gig.
True Blood's sixth season premieres Sunday, and no one is more excited than new guest star Natalie Dreyfuss.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager veteran tells Cambio that her recurring role on HBO's hit vampire series "was really fun," adding, " It was so gratifying, [but] it was just very difficult."
Unfortunately, she is sworn to secrecy about her new character. Although IMDb credits her as a faerie like Anna Paquin's Sookie Stackhouse, she hinted that she might play a vampire. She definitely shared a lot of scenes with the sexy bloodsuckers.
"I got to work with Deborah [Ann Woll], the redheaded vampire [Jessica], and she is so talented. Just one of those people that you respect so much when you're on set and learn so much from her."
Natalie says she "worked a bunch" with Stephen Moyer, whose character Bill Compton has been reincarnated as an evil vampire prophet with godlike powers.
"He's hilarious and the fake blood is really interesting," she dishes. "It hurts, it pulls your hair out...there's a lot of fake blood on that set!"
Playing a vampire also wreaks havoc on the actors' schedules. "It's all at night--you shoot when the sun goes down till when the sun comes up," she explains. "So you have to turn your schedule around to be a vampire. So I got really lonely by the end of it, because I hadn't seen anyone in weeks."
But the biggest bonus of her gig on True Blood was the "man babes": "Ridiculous," Dreyfuss laughs. "You'd walk out of your trailer and see them, They're just walking towards you [with the sunset behind them], and their shirts are blowing in the wind...so pretty."
You can check out all the pretty yourself when True Blood premieres Sunday, June 16 on HBO.
