We can't even imagine the pain that Lea Michele must be in following the death of boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith.
As we worry and wonder about how Lea is holding up, her rep has issued a statement that puts it quite plainly--she needs privacy most right now.
Lea's rep told Us Weekly in a statement: "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time. Thank you."
Cory was found dead on July 13 in a hotel room in Vancouver. He was 31.
Cory's rep issued a statement to Us Weekly that read: "We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate. We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."
Lea and Cory officially announced they were dating in February 2012--a year later, Lea told Marie Claire, "I don't even remember a time when he wasn't my boyfriend."
She added, "No one knows me better than Cory. No one knows what it's been like to go through this more than he does...He makes me feel like I can do anything. For the first time in my life, I feel really, really settled and happy. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world."
They were a truly beautiful couple.
