Following the devastating news of Cory Monteith's death from an overdose, many have wondered how his girlfriend, Lea Michele, has been handling the tragedy.

After an initial statement following his death, her rep has released a new statement, telling E! News, "Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she's received from family, friends, and fans."

The rep added, "Since Cory's passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory's family."

The autopsy and toxicology tests revealed that Cory did in fact die of an overdose, listing mixed drug toxicity as the cause of death, with heroin and alcohol in his system.

Lea is suffering a huge loss with Cory's passing and we hope she finds some comfort in spending this time with his family.
